Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Dar es Salaam → Mikumi National Park (Game Drive)

Morning departure from Dar es Salaam (approx. 5-6 hour drive to Mikumi). Arrive at Mikumi National Park in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the Mkata Floodplain, home to elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and various antelope species. Witness the stunning African sunset while spotting wildlife. Return to your lodge/camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Mikumi → Udzungwa Mountains National Park (Hiking & Waterfalls)

Early breakfast, followed by a drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park (approx. 2-hour drive). Meet your professional hiking guide and begin the trek to Sanje Waterfalls, one of Tanzania’s most beautiful natural attractions. During the hike, experience lush rainforest, exotic plant species, rare primates like the Udzungwa red colobus and Sanje mangabey, and diverse birdlife. Reach the top of the waterfall, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the valley below. Picnic lunch in the wild, followed by a leisurely descent back to the park entrance. Drive back to Mikumi for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive in Mikumi → Return to Dar es Salaam

Early morning game drive to catch wildlife at their most active. Explore different areas of Mikumi, focusing on predators like lions, leopards, and hyenas, as well as large herds of herbivores. Return to the lodge for breakfast, then start the journey back to Dar es Salaam. Arrive in Dar es Salaam in the late afternoon, marking the end of an incredible safari adventure.
